About the Role

As a Senior B2B SaaS Sales Manager at WaterCrawl, you'll be responsible for driving revenue growth through new client acquisition and account expansion. You'll leverage your understanding of web data extraction, AI technologies, and enterprise needs to position our open-source platform as the premier solution for transforming web content into structured, AI-ready data. Your role will involve the full sales cycle from prospecting to closing deals, with emphasis on building long-term relationships with enterprise clients.

Responsibilities

  • Drive new business acquisition by identifying, qualifying, and converting enterprise leads
  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to meet and exceed quarterly revenue targets
  • Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers at target organizations
  • Create compelling value propositions tailored to client needs and use cases
  • Conduct product demonstrations highlighting how our platform solves client challenges
  • Collaborate with marketing on lead generation strategies and follow-up campaigns
  • Manage complex sales cycles from initial contact to contract closure
  • Negotiate contracts and handle objections to secure optimal deal terms
  • Maintain accurate records of all sales activities in CRM system
  • Provide regular forecasting and reporting on sales pipeline and activities
  • Work closely with customer success to ensure smooth onboarding and account expansion
  • Stay current on industry trends, competitive offerings, and market opportunities
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, ensuring their needs are met and identifying opportunities for upselling and cross-selling
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies to inform sales strategies

Requirements

  • Experience selling open-source or developer-focused technologies
  • Prior sales experience in web scraping, data extraction, or AI/ML platforms
  • Understanding of Python, web development, or data engineering concepts
  • Previous experience at a data, AI, or developer tools startup
  • Knowledge of enterprise data needs and integration requirements
  • Experience with consultative selling methodologies
  • History of expanding accounts through upselling and cross-selling
  • Background in building sales processes and playbooks for growing companies
  • MBA or related business degree
  • Technical certification or background that demonstrates understanding of AI/data technologies
