About the Role

As a Developer Advocate & Community Manager at WaterCrawl, you'll be the voice and face of our technology to the developer community. Your mission will be to educate, inspire, and support developers in using our platform to transform web data into structured, AI-ready formats. Through content creation, community engagement, and technical demonstrations, you'll help grow our open-source community and showcase the power of our tools for building intelligent applications.

Responsibilities

Create high-quality technical content including blog posts, tutorials, code samples, and documentation
Produce and host engaging video content such as tutorials, demos, podcasts, and webinars
Manage and grow WaterCrawl's presence across social media platforms and developer communities
Represent WaterCrawl at industry events, conferences, and meetups (virtual and in-person)
Build and nurture relationships with key community members, contributors, and technology partners
Collect and synthesize community feedback to help improve our products and documentation
Collaborate with engineering teams to understand product capabilities and translate them into compelling use cases
Develop and execute community growth strategies and engagement programs
Track and report on community metrics and content performance
Host and moderate community discussions, AMAs, and technical workshops

Requirements

Proven experience in developer advocacy, community management, or technical marketing
Strong technical background with hands-on coding experience in Python
Understanding of web scraping, data processing, and AI/ML concepts
Demonstrated track record of creating technical content (blogs, tutorials, videos)
Excellent English written and verbal communication skills
Experience building and engaging with developer communities
Active presence on technical platforms (GitHub, Stack Overflow, Dev.to, etc.)
Strong presentation and public speaking abilities
Ability to explain complex technical concepts in accessible ways
Self-motivated with excellent time management and organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Django or similar web frameworks
Prior work with open-source projects or communities
Understanding of data crawling, scraping, and extraction techniques
Knowledge of AI/ML applications for structured data
Experience with technical video production and editing
Background in technical writing or documentation
Familiarity with community management tools and platforms
Experience organizing or speaking at technical events
Portfolio of technical articles, videos, or presentations
Active personal brand in the developer community
Open Source Contributions:
Active contributor to open-source projects, with a strong GitHub presence

Experience with Django or similar web frameworks

Prior work with open-source projects or communities

AI & LLM Familiarity:
Understanding of large language models and their applications in data processing

Event Organization:
Experience organizing developer events, hackathons, or meetups

Background in technical writing or documentation

Familiarity with community management tools and platforms

Experience organizing or speaking at technical events

Portfolio of technical articles, videos, or presentations

Multilingual:
Ability to communicate in multiple languages is a plus
